If we’re honest, most of us spend more time listening to others tell us who we are or what we can be than listening to what God says we are and what we can be. Many of us are tired because we are constantly battling against the Holy Spirit’s urging to follow His lead. Given His relentless pursuit of us, it is understandably exhausting.
Yet none of us should find ourselves discouraged because of our failings. God works with us where we are. Where you are is a place of transition. You are not stuck however desperate your circumstances may appear. He is ready to pick you up if you will just invite Him into your life. You are a child of the King. It’s an all too important truth that, if you’re listening to others, is easily overlooked.
